Pendolino travel is cheaper than with Intercity. A unique promotion

PKP Intercity has once again prepared a promotion for its passengers. This time, everyone will benefit from it, not just seniors, who on November 14 will be able to travel across Poland by train for only one zloty. The latest offer concerns cheap Pendolino journeys, which on the popular route from Warsaw to Katowice may be even cheaper than seats in the standard Intercity train.

Pendolino for less than PLN 50

PLN 49 – that’s all Polish railway passengers will pay for Pendolino second class on selected connections from Warsaw to Katowice and Katowice to Warsaw. This is a lower price than a classic Intercity ride on the same route, the base price of which starts from almost PLN 20 more. “PKP Intercity has increased the pool of promotional tickets for selected connections Warsaw – Katowice – Warsaw, served by Express InterCity Premium (EIP) and Express InterCity (EIC) class 2 trains,” reads the press release from the carrier’s press office. PKP assures that, apart from the travel time, which in most cases is much shorter than when traveling by a “normal” express train, modern Pendolino trains will ensure much greater travel comfort.

Cheaper from Krakow to Katowice

This is not the carrier’s only autumn surprise. Passengers traveling by rail between the capital of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and Silesia will also pay less, only PLN 9. “Ticket prices for selected trains, depending on their route, start from PLN 9 and reach a maximum of PLN 18.90 or PLN 19.60,” we read. For both Pendolino and Intercity promotional tickets, additional discounts resulting from statutory reliefs can be deducted from the final ticket price. All cheap tickets with exact travel dates and times can be found on the carrier’s website in the special Promobilet tab. The promotion will last until the end of the year.
