Paweł Wąsek jumped 133 and 138 meters during the Saturday World Cup team competition. The Pole presented a great form.

In Zakopane, ten representations appeared at the start: Kazakhstan, Finland, USA, Japan, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, Norway, Germany and Austria.

Unfortunately, although it was possible to hope for the area around the podium of the hosts team, there was a few meters more – primarily at the first jump of Aleksander Znobczoł.

Paweł Wąsek presented himself very well. The leader of the Polish national team in the current season made jumps at a distance of 133 and 138 meters, confirming that on Sunday he will count in the fight for high goals in the individual competition at Wielka Krokiew.

Poles finally took 5th place in Zakopane. The Austrians won, in second place Slovenia, the third Norway and just behind the podium Germany.

Looking at the individual results, Wąsek took fifth place during the Saturday competition. It is worth appreciating successful jumps – in the first series of Dawid Kubacki (131.5 m) – and in the second Kamil Stoch (131 m). In the second jump, the aforementioned destroying improved, reaching 125 meters.

However, the Austrians knocked out the competition. This can also be seen in the Cup of Nations, in which Austria clearly leads over the rest of the stake. On Saturday evening, to show the dominance of Austrian jumps, the advantage over the Polish team in the total note – amounted to over 100 points. This is a real knockout.

World Cup in Zakopane. Where and when to watch?

In addition to the Saturday team competition, on Sunday (i.e. January 19), individual competitions for the World Cup points are planned on Wielka Krokiew. In Zakopane it will start with a trial series (15:00), and then the start of the competition, from 16:00.

Broadcasts from Zakopane will be available both on TVP1, TVP Sport (and on the station’s website) and traditionally, on Eurosport antennas and Max platform.
