Part of the Złote Tarasy complex is changing ownership

Globalworth Poland made the largest acquisition in the company’s history, taking over the Lumen and Skylight buildings – part of the Złote Tarasy complex – from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.

Globalworth Poland and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield have concluded a preliminary agreement for the purchase of the Lumen and Skylight buildings, two office buildings in the Złote Tarasy complex in the very center of Warsaw. The transaction was valued at EUR 190 million, which is the largest acquisition in the history of Globalworth.

– The purchase of the Lumen and Skylight buildings is our largest real estate acquisition. Our goal is to have assets in the best locations where we can create a local community that corresponds well to the specificity of a given place and is adapted to the dynamics of the local labor market. Lumen and Skylight offer modern office space, located in the very center of Warsaw, with excellent access to public transport and other amenities. In our opinion, such buildings will be attractive to tenants and investors in the long term, providing stable income and being a strong asset for any portfolio. After purchasing the Lumen and Skylight projects, Globalworth’s Polish portfolio will exceed 425,000 sq m. space, strengthening our leading position on the Polish office market and business plans in the CEE region. – says Dimitris Raptis, Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Globalworth.

Lumen and Skylight are located in COB – Central Business District, the most prestigious and most expensive place in Warsaw. As a result of the transaction, the company’s portfolio will increase by 45,000. sq m of office space with BREEAM certificate at the Excellent level. The buildings are located at the city’s central transport hub. They also provide direct access to the shopping mall and the Central Station.

As we read in the announcement – Globalworth Poland achieved the leading position in the office sector in Poland only 8 months after the first investment of the Globalworth group on the Polish market. Currently, the company’s portfolio includes 16 office and office-retail properties located in Warsaw, Łódź, Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław and Tricity.
