Parents will receive the money just before New Year’s Eve. ZUS issued a statement

At the beginning of October, the “Active parent” program, also known as “grandmother’s”, was launched. Under the program, parents of children aged 12 to 35 months can take advantage of the following options:
-
“Actively at home” – a parent who stays at home with a child can receive PLN 500 per month,
-
“Active parents at work” – professionally active parents can receive PLN 1,500 per child, the assumption is that this will finance the work of a nanny or care by a grandmother or another family member,
-
“Actively in the nursery” – PLN 1,500 will go to parents of children who attend the nursery.
Applications can only be submitted electronically – via PUE ZUS, the mZUS mobile application, electronic banking or the Emp@tia portal.
At the end of November, ZUS announced the first payments of “grandma”. A total of PLN 317.5 million was paid then for over PLN 272,000. kids. The largest amount, nearly PLN 189 million, was paid under the “Actively in the nursery” benefit (for 148.3 thousand children). Slightly over PLN 100 million was paid under the “Active parents at work” benefit (for 66.6 thousand children). Much less, PLN 28.5 million, was paid for the “Actively at home” benefit (for over 57.1 thousand children).
ZUS will pay benefits before New Year’s Eve
Now ZUS has provided the latest data showing that in December a total amount of PLN 214.4 million was paid to 151.2 thousand children under the “Actively in the nursery” benefit. Payments of the remaining two benefits are scheduled for December 30.
ZUS reminds that the “Actively in the nursery” application can be submitted at the earliest on the day on which the child starts attending a nursery or children’s club or is under the care of a day care provider. If the parent submits the application within 3 months from the date of entry into force of the Act, i.e. no later than January 2, 2025, he will be entitled to the benefit from October 1 (if he meets the remaining conditions). However, this only applies to the “Actively in the nursery” benefit.
– From January 3, 2025, parents have different deadlines for submitting an application for this benefit. To be entitled to the benefit from the day the child starts attending nursery, parents should submit an application within 2 months of that date. The parent will also receive the benefit for the month in which the child went to nursery, even though the application was submitted in the following month. – ZUS emphasizes.
If a parent submits an application for the benefit actively in a nursery after 2 months, counting from the day the child entered the nursery, ZUS will grant the benefit from the month in which the parent submitted the application. In such a situation, you are not entitled to benefits for previous months.
