The reactivated our class starts at Google Play and the App Store. The application allows you to create your own profile and search for friends by school, class or name. It is also possible to join the class, school and year profile and create groups. Users can also share photos and videos. In addition, the NK Premium subscription is offered for PLN 19.99 per month or PLN 99.99, which provides, among others No advertising, as well as the ability to add movies longer than 60 seconds and send audio attachments and chat photos.
We would like to remind you that our class started at the end of 2006 on the initiative of four IT students from Wrocław. The original assumption of the website was the opportunity to find school friends and create virtual classes with the same members as in reality. With time, the functionality of the website was extended, among others For games. The peak of the website’s popularity was in 2008, when he could boast of the presence of nearly 15 million active users, which was a phenomenon. The portal attracted many of those who until now shunned new technologies, and even songs were created on the wave of its success.
From success to fall
In 2010, the website changed its name to nk.pl, adding a messenger, games and a microblog. As the Instalki.pl portal reminds, Ringier Axel Springer Polska, which later took over the whole project, earned on advertisements and paid functions. However, the introduced changes did not work out for good. Users complained about fees for free functions, data leaks and insistent advertising. At that time, Facebook also appeared, which attracted many of our users’ class tired of our class.
Decision to close nk.pl. It fell in May 2021, and two months later the website expired. The page at this address is still available, but refers to games on the Gameplanet platform.
Application creators promise safe space without algorithms and invasive ads. They do not hide that they are counting on attracting users aged 35 plus, i.e. those who used our class and remember this portal with nostalgia.
