Optimistic forecasts before the long weekend. Drivers can pay less
The past week brought significant reductions in fuel prices. Experts predict a continuation of this trend, as a result of which the most popular gasoline may cost less than PLN 6/l.
– The last days of May give drivers in Poland grounds for optimism. Refueling costs are falling noticeably, following global crude oil prices, and the extension of the government’s CPN package postpones the vision of sudden increases at gas stations – write e-petrol.pl experts.
Let us recall that on Thursday, the Ministry of Finance published in the Journal of Laws regulations extending the reduced VAT and excise duty rates on motor fuels for another two weeks. This means that the Lower Fuel Prices (CPN) package will be valid until mid-June.
E-petrol analysts point out that in recent days we have observed systematic and clear reductions in maximum fuel prices. For this weekend, the maximum prices are set at:
-
unleaded petrol Pb95: 6.05 per liter (PLN 6.46 a week ago),
-
unleaded petrol Pb98: PLN 6.63 per liter (PLN 7 a week ago),
-
diesel oil: PLN 6.34 per liter (PLN 6.85 a week ago).
Fuel prices next week. “95″ below PLN 6/l again?
Forecasting fuel prices in the coming week, experts indicate that the cheaper crude oil – pending the American-Iranian agreement – may mean that the price of the popular “95” will cost less than PLN 6 per liter at gas stations in the first days of June. This is great news before the upcoming long weekend. – The price ranges for individual fuel types predicted by e-petrol.pl for the coming week are: PLN 5.96-6.09/l for 95-octane gasoline, PLN 6.22-6.33/l for diesel oil and PLN 3.53-3.62/l for autogas. – analysts predict.
Experts also refer to reductions in wholesale fuel prices. – In recent days, wholesale price lists of fuel producers have been dominated by discounts, and the scale of the weekly discount is very impressive. – analysts emphasize.
The average price of 95-octane gasoline on Friday was PLN 5,303.40/cubic meter, which means a decrease of PLN 378.40 compared to the end of the previous week. An even greater reduction applies to diesel fuel. Over the course of a week, a cubic meter of diesel became cheaper in refineries by PLN 474.20 to PLN 5,572.80/cubic meter. Analysts point out that this is the lowest price since the beginning of March this year.
