Mexicans have reasons to be happy at the FIFA World Cup. The hosts secured promotion to the knockout phase. Unfortunately, it was dangerous off the pitch.
Mexico has two matches at the FIFA World Cup. The Mexicans started with a win (2-0) against South Africa in the opening match of this year’s World Cup. After winning in Mexico City, at the famous Estadio Azteca, the hosts moved to Guadalajara. In the second group match, the Mexicans faced South Korea.
Once again, Mexico came out on top. This time it was more modest (1-0), but still with three points for the match and zero goals conceded. The attitude of the hosts may be impressive.

Mexico’s matches are very popular among the locals. It is worth adding that this is the third time in the history of the World Cup that the event is held in this country. However, the 1970 and 1986 editions differed in that the Mexicans organized the FIFA World Cup alone.
This time, Mexico is one of three host countries, along with the United States (organized the 1994 World Cup) and Canada (hosting for the first time).
The madness among Mexicans continues, which also causes quite dangerous situations. One of these was recorded in the so-called fan zone in Guadalajaera. The crowd of rushing fans suddenly broke through the fence. The situation was dangerous because there were a lot of people, and in such situations people present in the crowd could even be trampled.
Fortunately, although the situation got out of control, there were no serious consequences. However, fans were able to cope with both the fence itself and the security that secured this part of the area – specially prepared for the FIFA World Cup – without any major problems.
