Those who went there in the coming weeks must be patient or settle for other attractions.

The attraction of Elbląg has failed

On the ramps of the Elbląg Canal, tourists use special boats. Everything works on the principle of using water energy to move ships. Water flowing from a higher level of the canal drives water wheels or turbines, which in turn rotate the rope drums. Steel ropes are wound on the drums, and transport carts are attached to them. Ships are put on wheelchairs, and then the trolley is moved up or down on the track. In this way he overcomes the difference in water levels.

During the cruises you can admire the beautiful green areas of the region. On a ten-kilometer fragment of the Ostróda-Elbląg channel, ships cover the height of over 99 meters. Still, it’s not extremely, fast or terrible.

Currently, the booking system of these cruises has been suspended. However, replacement are available. You can use it on the Buczyniec ramp, where the route leads in a picturesque section of the channel to the town of Karczemka, and then returns to the starting point.
