One of the richest Poles focuses on space. Talks are underway with the American giant
Zygmunt Solorz may consider investment in Axiom Space. If the plans are confirmed, the billionaire will enter the space sector for the first time.
Zygmunt Solorz, one of the richest Poles, is considering entering a new business area – the space industry. Unofficial reports show that the billionaire conducts advanced talks with the American company Axiom Space, specializing in the construction of commercial orbital stations.
According to media sources, the official announcement of cooperation may take place in the coming days, which would be a breakthrough in the current Solorz investment strategy.
Solorz focuses on the cosmos
The key event that confirmed the scale of plans was a visit to Poland of the founder of Axiom Space, Kama Ghaffiarian. The entrepreneur met not only with government representatives, but also with representatives of the private sector. Among them was the surroundings of Zygmunt Solorz.
According to “Puls Biznes”, conversations between the parties took place thanks to Przemysław Sęczykowski – a close associate of a billionaire who plays the role of an intermediary and a connector between the Polish business environment and the American partner.
Solorz Negotiations on shares?
Three independent informers confirmed that the talks between Zygmunt Solor and Kamem Ghaffarian have been going on for a long time and concern potential capital cooperation.
The main subject of negotiations is to take over the Polish billionaire part of the shares in Axiom Space. The details of the planned transaction are not disclosed, and people from the immediate surroundings of Solorz consistently avoid comments on this matter.
Investment in Axiom Space is a chance for Poland
A potential investment in Axiom Space would be the first such large foreign undertaking of Solorz in the high-tech and Aerospace industries. Until now, his activity has focused on telecommunications, the media and energy.
Entering the space sector could mean a breakthrough not only for its business empire, but also for the entire Polish economy, which would gain a chance to participate in the global space market.
It is worth emphasizing that during a visit to Poland, Kam Ghaffarian also talked to the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, about the potential participation of Polish companies and institutions in the construction of a new space station with the participation of European partners. The theme of the meetings was also nuclear energy, including the development of small modular reactors (SMR) of the 4th generation, which can become one of the pillars of energy transformation in Poland.
