Consistency in improving quality
Why do consumers so willingly choose the Korean brand?
– Samsung has been boasted for 19 years with a dominant position on the global TV market, and all this thanks to the trust and support of our clients – explains Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business in Samsung Electronics. – We will continue to shape the future of this industry, offering viewers products and solutions that will make their lives even more interesting.
The fact is certainly that Samsung has been following a very consistent path for many years, constantly improving products that seemed very good at the very beginning of this road. He started with OLED TVs, whose appearance on the market was a revolution. At that time – a dozen or so years ago – a super -iec screens, which OLED technology gave us, made an amazing impression. But 8 years ago, Samsung decided to improve its equipment by proposing a series using a quantum dot – QLED. These are nanocrystals that are mounted between the elements of the TV backlight and color filters. Thanks to them, the screen displays a high quality image with more vivid colors.
Then 4 years ago, the manufacturer again proposed an innovative solution – NEO QLED TVs, in which ordinary LEDs have been replaced by mini LEDs for backlight. And thus the quality of details, contrast and black were significantly increased again.
In addition, Samsung uses artificial intelligence on its TVs. Vision AI technology, when analyzing preferences, plans and user habits, turns screens into intelligent companions, whose task is to improve the quality of entertainment, simplify interaction with home appliances and smoothly integrating with the user’s lifestyle.
This year, Samsung will also provide the offer of the Art Store store (in addition to The Frame Pro) on NEO QLED and QLED TVs. Samsung has also been protecting its TVs for a decade with exceptionally precise software – the Knox Security platform, which protect users against malware attacks.
The success of QLED and OLED TV models
In the OMDIA, Samsung study this year maintained the position of a leader not only in ultra -high and the most expensive models, but also in the QLED and OLED models category. Last year, the manufacturer sold 8.34 million QLED TVs, obtaining a 46.8% share in the global market. In the case of OLED TVs, 1.44 million pieces were sold, while ensuring a market share of 27.3%. This means an increase in the number of devices sold by 42% and increasing market share by 4.6% (year on year). The latter result, therefore, confirmed that there is still a high demand for innovative Samsung OLED models.
