Old phones work wonders! Join the T-Mobile and Szlachetna Paczka campaign
Can an old, unused phone still be used? And can it help those most in need? It turns out that yes! For the second year, T-Mobile and Szlachetna Paczka are running the “Old phones work wonders” campaign.
In the operator’s stores, you can recycle old – even broken – equipment that often lies in our closets. And the more phones we bring for recycling, the more financial assistance the operator will provide to Szlachetna Paczka. The game is worth the candle, because the operator can donate up to PLN 1,000,000 to a worthy cause!
Look in the drawer and wardrobe
The social campaign “Old phones work wonders” breaks down barriers and connects different worlds. It often turns out that non-obvious meetings and activities can inspire joint initiatives, including helping others. What should I do to take part in the campaign conducted by T-Mobile Polska together with Szlachetna Paczka? Just find old, unnecessary or broken phones at home and visit the T-Mobile store. There you will find specially marked, magenta containers with the campaign logo.
T-Mobile Polska will support the noble campaign to help others by donating up to PLN 1,000,000 to the WIOSNA Association, the organizer of the Szlachetna Paczka. We have a lot of time to look for old equipment, because the campaign will last until June next year.
A rapper and a mezzo-soprano together in a music video
The social campaign of T-Mobile and Szlachetna Paczka is accompanied by a three-minute music video for the song “wszystko to my”. Rapper Pezet and mezzo-soprano Małgorzata Walewska were invited to cooperate and perform together. They are co-authors of the text (the music was written by Łukasz “Luxon” Dowgiałło).
– I added a piece of my story about the fact that holidays are not always pleasant and colorful for everyone, so it is worth helping – says Pezet. Małgorzata Walewska, in turn, adds that she has never been afraid of exploring other musical genres. – I was so intrigued by the man in the hood that I wanted to hear what he was rapping about. Pezet and I quickly found a common language and his lyrics inspired me to write the chorus. It reads, among other things, as follows: “Help, time will unite us. We will find the best in us. (…) It’s all us,” emphasizes the mezzo-soprano.
It’s worth visiting Łódź!
On December 14, at 4 p.m., an extraordinary event will take place in front of the Manufaktura in Łódź – a Christmas concert promoting the “Old telephones work miracles” campaign. Stars of the Polish music scene, representing various genres, will perform popular songs with the accompanying choir. But that’s not all. The program also includes workshops for children on decorating gingerbread and making baubles, which you can take with you and decorate your own Christmas tree with them. During the event, you will also be able to meet popular Internet creators, talk to them and take a photo together, as well as feel the truly magical atmosphere thanks to Christmas refreshments. The slogan of the event – OLD PHONES WORK MIRACLES, will encourage people to recycle old phones also during the concert in a specially marked container. In exchange for your old phone, you will receive a gift from T-Mobile. Let’s show that together we can break barriers and work miracles!
