Oil money excluded seniors. New oil collection system
Oil collectors are used to collect oil used during home frying or baking. But they demanded too much from seniors. Their operation is much easier.
What to do with the oil after frying French fries, pancakes, fish, cutlets or potato pancakes at home? That is the question. The worst solution is to pour it down the sink or toilet. Especially since there is a company in Poland that has solved this kitchen problem in a systemic way.
Ecological and up-to-date seniors, but not as attached to smartphones as the youngest generation, were surprised and frustrated by the need to scan QR codes and operate applications at oil dispensers. The company changed the procedure.
Hot fat is the enemy of sewage systems and pipes. User manual
Pouring frying fat down the drain is an idea from hell. As it cools, the fat hardens and sticks to the pipe walls, acting like glue. Over time, food remains accumulate on it, creating a blockage that limits or completely blocks the water flow.
Pouring oil boiling in a pan directly into the sink may melt or permanently deform the plastic elements of the siphon. The oil should be cooled and poured into a plastic bottle that is no longer needed, cap it well and throw it into a mixed waste container. Or throw it into an oil separator.
No longer an application, just a card. Makes it easier to drain the oil
Those who do not want to reuse once-used oil or make original oil lamps out of it can simply look for an oil dispenser in the immediate vicinity. There are 118 of them throughout Poland. Most of this type of devices are in the center and west of Poland.
Olejomat is a device for collecting used cooking oil that allows you to transform waste into biofuel or other raw materials.. Just download an empty bottle specially designed for this purpose from the vending machine, fill it with used oil at home, then return the full container and collect ecological rewards.
So far, operating oil dispensers required a smartphone and a special application, but now it’s easier. Emka has introduced special senior cards enabling the use of vending machines without a telephone. The card works similarly to a payment or ATM card. There are two separate codes on it. One allows you to collect an empty bottle intended for collecting used oil, the other is used to return the container after filling it.
The card will be issued by the municipality that cooperates in oil collection, or you can also contact the machine operator.
The donated oil bottle is 100 points. 300 points collected can be exchanged for seedlings, seeds or other green rewards. The bottle has capacity 1240 ml.
