November 1, 2 and 3. Will stores be open?

The first November long weekend is ahead of us. The first day of the month falls on Friday, so millions of Poles will enjoy three days off. The lion’s share of us will spend this time reflecting, reflecting and remembering our deceased loved ones. We will also cover hundreds of kilometers with whole families, visiting necropolises all over the country. November 1, 2 and 3 is also an opportunity to meet extended family, whom we often do not see throughout the year. We meet with them only at the beginning of November. Family reunions usually involve the need to prepare a solid dinner for several people. Therefore, you need to think about larger purchases, a trip to the local supermarket. And here the following question arises.

Are shops open on November 1st?

Well, no. All Saints’ Day is a public holiday, so large supermarkets and shopping malls will be closed on this day. However, there are exceptions to this rule. For example, the following may be active:

• kiosks

• pharmacies

• gas stations

• restaurants

• post offices

• flower shops

• shops located at stations and airports

• souvenir shops

• owner-run stores

Will stores be open on November 2?

Well, yes. November 2 (All Souls’ Day) is not a public holiday, so most shops, supermarkets and shopping malls operate normally, according to their standard, in this case Saturday, opening hours. So if we want to do more shopping during the long weekend, we should go to the store on Saturday.

Will stores be open on November 3?

NO. It’s a non-trading Sunday. As with November 1, most large retail outlets will be closed. We can only make small purchases, for example, in small shops or gas stations. It is also worth noting that there will be no trading Sunday in November.
