Not Türkiye at all. This summer, the Russians will storm this country

Not only Szarm El-Shech and the picturesque Turkish Riviera. This summer, the Russians will storm a different direction, and tour operators rub their hands.
Due to the war in Ukraine, many Poles would most likely spend their holidays in the company of Russian tourists. Those – despite many sanctions imposed on their country, travel quite freely in Europe, but are also looking for new experiences.
Where will we meet Russians on vacation?
For years, Türkiye has been accepting with the open arms of the Russians and it remains a top tourist direction for travelers from this country. The Travel and World Tour portal, however, recorded a new growth leader for the summer 2025 – Vietnam. This summer, the Asian country will visit by 140 percent more Russians than in 2024 – It is estimated that it can be from half a million to a million tourists. In comparison with this number, the increase in arrivals to Turkey by 15 percent. It falls much more pale.
This is due to the “shaping” of new charter flights and the increase in regular air connections from Russia to Vietnam, especially to places such as NHA TRANG, and also loved by Poles of the islands of PHU QUOC. In May, Vietnamese Airlines Vietnam Airlines officially resumed direct flights between Hanoi and Moscow, after a three -year break. Strategic partnerships between Russian tour operators and Vietnamese lines also play a big role.
Tour organizers quickly sensed the interest and potential of the Asian direction, adding more packages and promotions in their offer.
Travels to Vietnam with a new hit
What else affects the lively interest in the travels of the Russians? The growing position of their currency – in April, the rubel recorded the largest strengthening in the world in 2025, even ahead of gold. Citizens of this country are also exempt from the visa for 45 days. According to the latest estimates, about 6.4 million Russians this summer will go abroad for tourist or business purposes. This is a significant increase compared to 5.15 million traveling last year, when many Russians could not afford holiday trips.
