How many foreigners work in Poland?

As much as 84 percent all working foreigners are employed in seven sections of the PKD. Most foreigners are employed in industrial processing (20%) and in transport and warehousing (18%). Foreigners in these industries usually perform simple jobs that do not require high competences. Among foreigners working in these industries, we often find people working below their qualifications.
Twelve out of every hundred people working in the Accommodation and catering or Transport and warehousing industries are foreigners. In industrial processing, only five out of a hundred employees are foreigners.
Many foreigners also choose to work in the broadly understood IT sector. Every tenth person working in the Information and Communication section is a foreigner. Most foreign employees work as computer system analysts and programmers, as well as database and computer network specialists.

It is worth mentioning primarily Kraków and Warsaw, which dominate among the locations with the highest salaries in IT. Companies from Poznań, Wrocław and Gdańsk also offer satisfactory salaries.
