mObywatel will show your pension forecast, and ultimately also data from the third pillar. ZUS announces major changes in the application for 2026.

Already in the first half of 2026, users of the mObywatel application will gain access to a new, long-announced function – future pension forecast. This declaration was made in the “Onet Rano. Finansowo” program by the president of the Social Insurance Institution, Zbigniew Derdziuk, emphasizing that intensive work is underway on the safe implementation of this solution.

More features

The head of ZUS pointed out that mObywatel is constantly being developed, and the Minister of Digital Affairs systematically adds new functions. As he recalled, it was assumed from the beginning that instead of a separate Central Pension Information, the government application should contain data on future benefits. According to Derdziuk, the new function should appear in the first half of next year.

The planned service is to include not only information from ZUS. mObywatel is also to show data from the so-called 3rd pillar, i.e. voluntary forms of saving for retirement, such as IKE, IKZE or PPK. However, agreement with financial institutions will be crucial, as their participation in the system will not be obligatory. As noted by the president of ZUS, work is underway with the Central IT Center to ensure that the presented data is not only static, but as individual as possible and shows the trend of shaping future pensions.

Digital access to retirement information is not a new idea. Already in May 2025, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft act that paved the way for the implementation of such a function in mObywatel. Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs, Dariusz Standerski, announced that thanks to cooperation with ZUS and the private sector, the application will become a central point of knowledge about our pension prospects.

Retirement forecast

The ability to check your retirement forecast on your phone is not only practical, but also psychological. Such access will make it easier to plan the future without the need to log in to extensive websites, such as PUE ZUS, or wait for paper correspondence. Simultaneous display of data from the state system and – with the consent of suppliers – from IKE, IKZE and PPK accounts may become an important element of building financial awareness.

The exact date of launching the new option has not been announced yet, but the announcement of the president of ZUS shows that the pension function in mObywatel is to debut in the first half of 2026. This will be the next stage of the development of the application, which already enables the use of e-ID, qualified electronic signature or online car registration, and in the near future will also store higher education diplomas.
