New route from Radom. Few Poles have heard of this city
Poles will again be able to fly to Preveza for holidays. The Greek city is included in the timetable of connections from the Radom airport.
This city has one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Greece. Soon, Poles will be able to fly here directly from the Warsaw-Radom airport. The flight schedule for the next holiday includes an offer from the Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines. Unfortunately, as in the case of LOT Polish Airlines, which operated this connection in 2023, only one flight per week is planned. However, it is still a unique opportunity to discover this lesser-known part of Greece.
Preveza will delight tourists
Even though Preweza is located on land, you can feel like you are on an island. This small city in western Greece lies on a narrow strait connecting the Ambracian Gulf with the Ionian Sea. Compared to Santorini or Mykonos, mass tourism has not yet reached here. It is also much quieter than in Athens or Thessaloniki. There are also beautiful sandy beaches, such as the 22-kilometer-long Monolithi Beach.
From the end of May 2025, this ideal holiday destination will be available directly from the airport in Radom. “It will be possible to fly charter flights to Preveza every Tuesday, starting from May 27. The last cruise with vacationers to Preveza is scheduled for September 16,” writes ryb-lotniczy.pl. Currently, this is the only flight in this direction available from Poland. In 2023, it was performed by LOT airlines, now it will be performed by Turkish Pegasus Airlines. This is a great opportunity to save money – so far, one-way flights cost from PLN 500 to even PLN 1,000.
Rescue for the airport in Radom
The new connection will help the airport, which has been struggling with the crisis for several months. In 2024, instead of the announced development of the port, further carriers fled Sadków. The current winter season is particularly difficult, when travel agencies offering holiday charter connections have left the airport. “Flights are offered only by LOT Polish Airlines and Wizz Air. The airport is empty for three days, so this year Sadków will record an even greater loss than the activity generated in 2023,” we read.
