New railway routes in Poland. We will go to the gate of mysterious mountains
The regional carrier announced new railway routes. Soon passengers will discover the magic of mysterious Polish mountains.
On Sunday, August 31, another train timetable correction came into force this year. The changes were presented not only by PKP Intercity, but also regional carriers. Tourists will definitely like the new offer of Lower Silesian Railways, despite the fact that the carrier will temporarily suspend the popular KD Premium Train from Wrocław to Świnoujście in the summer. In his place travelers can soon expect other interesting routes.
Changes in Lower Silesian Railways
Koleje Dolnośląskie presented plans for the summer and 2026 season. It is known that the recently launched connection to Karpacz will definitely be maintained in the following months.
The carrier announced, among others Launching a direct train from Wrocław to Leszno through Żmigród and Oborniki Śląskie. Next year, travel time on many popular connections will also be shortened. From Wrocław to Oława, passengers will reach at a record pace of 14 minutes, to the shore in just 23 minutes, and to Żmigród located at the gate of the Barycz Valley popular among Wrocław residents – in 34 minutes. The railway will therefore be completely unrivaled, because defeating these episodes by car at the same time is unattainable.
These mountains are waiting for tourists
Sowie Mountains are next to the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in Poland and Europe. Many tourists have not yet had the opportunity to discover this extraordinary mysterious region, and this will facilitate their new rail connection. “In 2026, KD trains will stop at two new stops in Bielawa, which will ensure convenient rail access to the very foot of the Sowie Mountains” – we read on the website of the Lower Silesian Railway. Passengers will also be impressed by Bielawa itself together with her biggest attraction – Bielawskie Lake. It is an ideal place to relax on the beach, swim with a view of the tops or a kayak trip.
