New function in mObywatel. Many Poles will breathe a sigh of relief
New functions are available in mObywatel from Wednesday. They will make it easier to handle other matters without leaving home.
The mObywatel application has gained new functions that will certainly make parents’ lives easier. From Wednesday, April 15, it is possible to apply for a passport for a child up to 12 years of age without the need to visit the office.
– You do not have to go to the office or print a special form to send an application for a passport for your child or ward under 12 years of age. Now you can do it quickly and conveniently on your phone – we read in the issued announcement.
Importantly, the application sent via the application is as valid as the one submitted via the form on the gov.pl website.
What’s new in the mObywatel application
New solutions in mObywatel include three key services related to documents for children.
In the app you can now:
-
apply for a passport for a child up to 12 years of age,
-
give consent of the other parent or guardian,
-
manage previously granted consents.
What is the procedure for applying for a passport?
Submitting the application has been simplified thanks to automatic downloading of data from state registers.
– The application may be submitted by the child’s parent, guardian or guardian. In the case of a parent, the application downloads data from the PESEL register and displays a list of the user’s children automatically. At this stage, you must indicate which child the application applies to. In the case of a guardian or curator, the service includes a place for attachments that document the right to care for the child – explains the Ministry of Digitization.
To use the service, several conditions must be met:
-
have the current version of the mObywatel application,
-
have a trusted profile to sign the application,
-
use the e-Delivery box.
The user can also add a passport photo, indicate the place of collection of the document and attach the required attachments.
– We are currently working on making it possible to pay for the issuance of a passport via mObywatela using ePayments. Before this possibility appears, you can only pay for the issuance of a passport outside the application – we read in the announcement.
In the case of a document such as a child’s passport, the consent of the other parent or guardian is required. Now this formality can also be completed in the application. Importantly, consent may be granted both before and after submitting the application.
More improvements in the application
Another new feature is the ability to manage consents – the user can view them and withdraw them if necessary. This solution covers not only consents granted in the application, but also those previously submitted at the office or online.
The changes introduced are another example of the development of mObywatel, which is already used by over 11 million users.
