ChatGPT is enriched with a music recognition function. The popular chatbot joins forces with the proven Shazam application.

If you’ve never heard of Shazam before, your life will become much easier from now on. This is a very effective and most popular music recognition application. One click, a few seconds of listening and the ready answer appears on your phone or computer screen.

ChatGPT joins forces with Shazam. Even more convenient music recognition

If you know this program well and have used it many times… then combining Shazam with ChatGPT will not change that much. But that doesn’t mean it won’t change anything. It will be even more convenient, even faster and more “in one place”. There will be no need for a browser plug-in or reaching for the phone and switching between applications. From now on, we will be able to “shazam” songs from the ChatGPT chatbot.

You can use this option in two ways. We can simply ask the AI assistant what song is playing in the background, or use the shorter command “@Shazam”. In the reaction, you will be able to activate the microphone and, after a few seconds, the name of the artist and the title of the song. If we have an account in the Shazam application, songs searched in ChatGPT will also be added to our library, so that we don’t lose them later due to distraction.

Shazam on ChatGPT. How to enable the new option?

Importantly, Shazam in ChatGPT will work on desktop computers, Android phones and iOS. The chatbot described here was already integrated with Apple Music and Spotify, so selected songs can be immediately added to our lists of favorite songs.

Just remember that the new option is not available automatically. Fortunately, the way to start it is trivial. Just go to the “Applications” menu in ChatGPT, search for Shazam there and connect it to ChatGPT, accepting consents along the way. The application does not eavesdrop on our conversations because it only compares sounds to the song database. Integration with ChatGPT is, of course, a slightly different matter. Our texts and images are already processed there. Sound is another issue that should be considered beforehand.
