New, deadly weapon. Ukrainians presented the “black widow”
Ukrainian soldiers will soon receive a new weapon. They have named it the “Black Widow”. It is a deadly unit that can transport bombs.
This new piece of equipment is a UAV (“unmanned aerial vehicle”) and will certainly strike fear into the hearts of Russians on the battlefield.
“Black Widow”: Ukrainian Armed Forces Have a New Drone
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced the new equipment that soldiers will soon receive in a statement on Wednesday. “This is the ‘Black Widow’ – a new bomber drone codified for the needs of the armed forces,” it reads. The ministry adds that the drone has already been “approved” and will soon be “delivered to soldiers.”
The ministry’s announcement states that it is a “tactical level drone”. “An experienced pilot can use it both day and night” – which is its great advantage. This is “multiple-use equipment – it can also operate in FPV format (“first-person view” – ed.). The relatively low price of a single drone allows it to be used in this way as well,” we read.
It is worth emphasizing that the drone will be able to carry heavy explosive charges.
Ukrainian drones fired towards Moscow
Ukrainians use drones all the time, including for offensive operations, which has become standard. Most recently, from September 9 to 11, they attacked Russian territory with them. Seven machines were launched towards Moscow. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin later reported on social media that the UAVs were shot down in the city of Ramenskoye and the Podilsky region.
The SHOT Telegram channel reported that five people were reportedly injured in connection with this (near the capital of the Russian Federation). Due to the attack, traffic at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports was temporarily suspended.
Attacks were also reported to have taken place in other parts of Russia at night. A total of 59 drones were shot down between Monday and Tuesday.
