New bans in holiday countries. It can cost up to 2,000 zloty
When going on holidays in Europe, it is worth checking what can result in a high fine. Such bans were introduced this year, among others in Greece and Italy.
Not only beaches in European countries are known for numerous bans. This year, Limone Sul Garda in Italy has regulated the principles of alcohol consumption.
No drinking alcohol in the town of Garda
The town famous for its crops introduced a ban on alcohol consumption in public places, such as parks and pavements. The ban applies from mid -April to November 1. There is financial penalties in the amount of EUR 25 to 500 (over 2,000 PLN) for breaking the provision approved by the mayor. Although such a provision in Poland is common, as you can see in Italy, this issue is subject to local regulations.
Camper rules in Greece
Since this year, a new law has been in force in Greece, which limits places where you can park or sleep in a motorhome. In May, the law entered into force, which forbids stopping outside official camping sites – even for a short stop. Breaking this recipe can cost us 300 euros (over 1,200 PLN). So you can’t park:
-
on the beaches and on the dunes, in forests and nature reserves
-
near archaeological sites
-
Supermarket and shop parking lots
-
urban/rural parking lots and parks
-
coastal roads and viewpoints
-
estate streets (over 24 hours)
Can you smoke on the beach?
In Poland, yes, provided that there is no such ban on it. It is different in France. From July 1, this country will ban smoking on beaches, in parks, as well as in public gardens across the country. While French beaches are not the first choice for Polish tourists, the prohibition must also be remembered in other places.
Ban in Portugal
Finally, a reminder of the ban in Albufeir. The city in the Algarve region banned walking on the streets in swimsuits, because too many tourists forgot to dress properly outside the beach. The recipe is threatened with a high fine, up to 1500 euros.
