New apartments as part of the “First Keys” program. There is a minister’s announcement

The government does not give up the “first keys”. Minister Paszyk announces a continuation of work on a program supporting young people.
Work on the project of the “First Keys” program will be continued – the Minister of Technology and Development Krzysztof Paszyk announced in Radio Jedynka.
– The work has been suspended – it often happens that in the face of a lively discussion that some project arouses, this consideration is postponed and I think that either at the next meeting of the Government Programming Team or at the next one this project will come back and I assure you that the work will continue on it – the Minister of Technology and Development Krzysztof Paszyk said on Radio Jedynka.
Minister Paszyk: “The cost of a loan in Poland is twice as high as in all of Europe”
The head of the Ministry of Technology regrets the high costs of loans in Poland.
– Today, the cost of a loan in Poland is twice as high as in all of Europe and therefore many young Poles cannot afford to pay off the apartment they purchased. Today there is no other way to help young Poles apply for the first apartment, because in this program we only think about those who do not have their apartment yet – assured Paszyk.
As the minister noted, the average interest rate on the loan in Poland is nearly 8 percent, while the European average is 4 percent.
-The solution we put on the table reduces this interest rate to this European average, i.e. 3-4 percent. And this causes up to PLN 1000-1500 a smaller installment for a loan per month-the minister pointed out.
“First keys” – there will be subsidies
The minister emphasized that the program is a new initiative that does not contain solutions known from the past.
– Today I present a project supporting ownership housing, which takes into account the limits eliminating all threats that were previously debated – said the head of Mrit.
When asked about subsidies for a loan under the “First Keys” program, he replied that this is the only way for young Poles to apply for their first apartment.
