New 800 plus. ZUS appeals to parents about rush
Although the final date for submitting applications for 800 plus is at the end of June, people who have not yet done this should hurry – emphasizes ZUS. Money will be lost late.
At the beginning of June, a new benefit period of the 800 plus program began. Therefore, families receiving the benefit must submit the application again. The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) issued a message in this matter, emphasizing that although the final date for submitting documents is at the end of June, people who have not yet done this should hurry up. It depends on which month the application will receive the application to the ZUS, for which month the benefit will be paid.
– People who submitted applications for a new benefit period by the end of April will receive money for the first month without breaks in payments, i.e. in June (unless it is necessary to conduct explanatory proceedings). However, if someone submitted a request in May, they will receive money for June until the end of July with the payment of benefits for this month – we read in a message.
Applications for 800 plus. Why is it not worth delaying?
Payments of benefits based on applications correctly submitted in June will take place by the end of August with equalization for earlier months. ZUS, however, points out that people whose applications will receive after June will not get equalization for earlier months. This, of course, does not apply to parents who were just born a child. They have three months to submit the application from the date of birth of the child. If they do it on time, they will receive a benefit with equalization.
ZUS estimates that only this week benefits of PLN 1 billion 379 million for over 1.7 million children were paid this week. – So far, we have adopted over 4.1 million applications for nearly 6.5 million children. Service of applications is carried out on a regular basis – informs Mariusz Jedynak, vice president of ZUS.
Applications for 800 plus can only be submitted electronically via: Platforma Electronic Services (PUE)/EZUS, Electronic Banking, MZUS application or EMP@TIA portal.
Last year, parents submitted 5 million 193 thousand. applications for 7 million 918 thousand kids. A year earlier, 5 million 271 thousand were recorded. applications covering 8 million 136 thousand kids.
In April 2026 it will be 10 years since the introduction of 500 plus. Initially, the benefit was only entitled to the second and subsequent child, in 2019 they were also expanded to the first child. At the beginning of last year, the benefit was valorized to PLN 800.
