President Nawrocki and “Cheap electricity -33 percent”.. This is what the project looks like

The project, called “Cheap electricity -33%”, includes four pillars. The first assumes the elimination of additional fees, including capacity, renewable energy, cogeneration and transition fees. The second one provides for the reform of the certificate system and reducing costs for recipients. The third one is to reduce distribution fees by reducing the profits of network operators. The fourth pillar is to permanently maintain the VAT rate at 5%.

The Chancellery of the President calculates that thanks to these changes, households will save on average PLN 800 per year, and the cost of the program to the state budget will amount to approximately PLN 14 billion. The financing of the reform is to come from funds from CO₂ emissions trading (ETS).

The president recalled that the project was announced during the election campaign, when he committed to “introducing a plan that will reduce electricity prices by one third.” Nawrocki called on all parties in parliament to support the initiative, emphasizing that it is “in the interest of all Poles.”
