Nawrocki keys on apartment and an 80-year-old. In the background 120 thousand zloty

Karol Nawrocki

It turned out that Nawrocki is the owner of two – not one – apartments. The property of the Institute of National Remembrance was to buy from a resident of Gdańsk, with whom he signed the contract. A specific amount was found there – 120,000 PLN, and besides, the presidential candidate offered the 80-year-old care (although this is the 80-year-old city today). In the meantime – he claims – he was also to bear the costs of rent. During Tuesday’s interview at Rymanowski, he revealed new details of the case.

Bogdan Rymanowski hosted in his studio Karol Nawrocki, or “civic” candidate for president of Poland (whom he supports Law and Justice). The scandal around the President of the Institute of National Remembrance is not quiet about his private property (the case was publicized by the Onet portal). This one is much larger than he declared during one of the last debates. The former director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk has two – not one – apartments.

Years ago, he helped an elderly man to buy a place from the city, which cost him 20,000 zlotys. Then they concluded a preliminary contract – in accordance with the Civil Code (which protects the interests of both parties). It ended with the conclusion of the final contract-purchase and sale. Nawrocki became the owner of the premises eight years ago.

Nawrocki with the details of the contract

The head of the Institute of National Remembrance explained during a conversation on YouTube Rymanowski Live channel that “the contract regulated the obligations” of his 80-year-old and vice versa. What amount was indicated in it? – refers to the market price of 120 thousand. PLN – then it cost the apartment on the free market – he said. The contract was to be a guarantee that a resident of the capital of Pomerania would receive significant funds.

The journalist simply asked Nawrocki about this money. – Did you formally give him these 120,000 zloty? He turned to the PiS candidate. The head of the Institute of National Remembrance replied that “transferring the entire amount” would lead to a “threat to life and health” of an 80-year-old. – This is legally proper, lawyers convinced me. I confirmed this yesterday (i.e. May 5 – editor’s note). After the conclusion of the contract, the amount already paid remains between the partners of the contract. This is known on the market and lawful. These are the years in which this amount – at the beginning harder, then less – is repaid in full – he explained.

Rymanowski wondered if this means that the previous owner of the apartment was received “in installments”. – It began before writing the preliminary contract – said Nawrocki. He revealed that “he invested financial resources at the request” of the 80-year-old, “giving them even for the purchase of an apartment.”

The journalist did not give up. – Did you count your expenses? He asked. – Of course, not all. Not your social or charity that belonged, but we came to such an agreement: “I need your help, the only thing I have, this is a flat” “-quoted the words spoken by an 80-year-old friend. Nawrocki said that at that time” a lot happened in life “a pensioner who” needed his help “, and in the meantime the head of the Institute of National Remembrance” he earned modestly. ”

“14 years – 8,000 per year”

Rymanowski was curious whether the money that went to cover the rent was included in the settlement. Nawrocki pointed out that the market amount – 120,000 PLN – “it was exceeded some time ago.” – Simple arithmetic. It is 14 years, approx. 8 thousand annually (this gives approx. PLN 112,000 – ed.) – he explained.

In summary, Nawrocki emphasized that “he had purchased the apartment legally, according to the purchase and sale agreement”, and the funds went to the 80-year-old “over 14 years”.
