Karol Nawrocki decided to watch the Poland-Netherlands match from the stands. The president’s presence at the PGE National Stadium did not go unnoticed by the fans.

Friday, November 14th is exactly 100 days since Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as president. On this occasion, the head of state met with voters in Mińsk Mazowiecki.

During his speech, the politician explained, among other things: why he decided to block judicial nominations and did not consent to officer nominations for ABW and counterintelligence officers.

After the rally ended Karol Nawrocki went to Warsaw to watch from the stands of PGE Narodowy Poland – Netherlands match. This is not the first situation of this type – in September, the politician supported the Polish national team during the match against Finland in Chorzów.

Karol Nawrocki explained that “he decided to go to the match because the presence of the head of state at important events, including sports events, is a natural part of his duties.” – The president must be everywhere where important things are happening, and sport is also important – he emphasized.

The politician appeared at the PGE Narodowy in the company of his younger son Antoni. The president of the Polish Football Association, Cezary Kulesza, took the place next to the head of state.

The president’s presence did not go unnoticed by the audience. Just a few minutes after the match started, some fans started chanting Karol Nawrocki’s name.

The president was warmly welcomed by the fans of the Polish Ekstraklasa, who organized cheering at the team’s match for the first time in years. Many flags appeared at the PGE Narodowy, including: Lechia Gdańsk, Jagiellonia Białystok, Korona Kielce and GKS Bełchatów.

For Jan Urban’s players, the Poland-Netherlands match is the penultimate stage of the World Cup qualifying round. The match in Warsaw is a duel between the runner-up and the leader of Group G. The earlier qualifying match between the Dutch and the Poles in Rotterdam ended in a draw (1:1).
