Natalia Kaczmarek makes a radical decision. She resigns from an important event
Natalia Kaczmarek was the only athlete to win a medal at the Paris Games. The Pole, along with her coach, is firmly looking to the future. For this reason, she had to make a radical decision.
Natalia Kaczmarek has been in good shape since the beginning of the year. She showed it even before the Olympic Games, when she broke the long-standing Polish record of Irena Szewińska in the 400-meter race. During the competition in Paris, she achieved the desired success, finishing third in the final duel. In this way, she was the only representative of the White and Reds to enjoy a medal in track and field.
Natalia Kaczmarek will not compete in the World Indoor Championships
Kaczmarek is slowly approaching the most important day of her life – her wedding to shot putter Konrad Bukowiecki. He also took part in the games, although he did not manage to pass the qualification stage. The Polish runner has already admitted that she uses the help of a wedding planner when organizing the ceremony. Together with her coach Marek Rożej, she is preparing for the next starts, as well as for the next season.
In a conversation with PS Onet, the coach referred to the athlete’s start schedule for the 2025 season. Kaczmarek plans to start in the indoor season, but they will be selective. Rożej confirmed that the Pole will not participate in the World Indoor Championships in Nankin scheduled for March 21-23. The participation in the European Indoor Championships is still unknown. The Olympic medalist is expected to be in the best shape at the world championships in Tokyo, and therefore wants to start the indoor season earlier.
– We plan to start and we count on an effective fight to maintain our position among the world leaders. Because the fact that Natalia will train a little differently will not be connected – I hope so – with slower running. We want not to exploit the body too much and not tire it with such a large number of starts as in the last few – said Rożej, referring to the fact that Natalia Kaczmarek will start more often in the 200-meter distance.
Natalia Kaczmarek’s achievements
Natalia Kaczmarek is a multiple Olympic medalist (including the Tokyo relay champion) and European Championship medalist. A year ago in Budapest, she won silver at the World Championships.
