Moving the words of the Polish master. One sentence was enough

On May 17, 2025, exactly two years have passed since The death of her husband Justyna Kowalczyk- Tiekieli. The former Olympic champion posted on this occasion a moving post on social media. “Two years ago Kacper died. We keep the garda. Somehow. We miss. Very” – the words of the Polish runner sounds.

Kacper Tekieli wanted to get all 82 four -thousanders in the Alps. In May 2023, the 38-year-old outstanding mountaineer took up an attack on the Jungfrau summit. During the descent, he was kidnapped by an avalanche. His body was found a day later in the Rottal-Coulin region.

The husband of the outstanding Polish runner was buried at the Oliwa Cemetery in Gdańsk. – Kacper founded a strong position in my head and heart. I dropped out with a crete. I pulled out all the flights, I died terribly, but he holds the position. And it will withstand an avalanche of sadness. We will catch the shoulder blade with hugot and we will rub the avalanche. We will live, as Kacper taught us, or full-said Justyna Kowalczyk-Terks during the funeral ceremony.

Justyna Kowalczyk met her future husband thanks to courses from the Polish Association of Mountaineering. Kacper Tekieli was to be an instructor of a runner.

– PZA had extensive plans for me, and I had no grounds to go to the high mountains, except for a nice psych and good performance. I wanted to learn everything from scratch. The union proposed Kacper and I came to him in the rocks near Kraków after learning a vertical world – she recalled the former Olympic champion in Newsweek. – After the course, we noticed that we liked each other very much. Kacper is a philosopher by profession, so if he starts to speak, you have completely different associations with him than with the athlete in climbing harness – she added.

The couple got married in September 2020 in Gdańsk. A year later, their son Hugo was born.
