Slightly more than half of Poles want a third shopping Sunday in December – according to a SW Research survey for “Wprost”. The introduction of such a Sunday is provided for in the amendment to the Act on public holidays.

A week ago, the Sejm passed an amendment to the act on public holidays. It assumes that from next year, Christmas Eve will be a day off from work. The Senate is currently working on the amendment. If no amendments are submitted, it will go to the president’s desk.

Andrzej Duda’s signature is not certain because the act includes a provision providing for the introduction of a third shopping Sunday in December, which would fall at the beginning of the month. The president is said to be against an additional shopping Sunday in the last month of the year.

What do Poles think about this? This was verified by the SW Research agency in a survey for “Wprost”. It turns out that more than half of respondents want three shopping Sundays before Christmas. When asked: “Do you support the idea of ​​​​introducing an additional shopping Sunday in December?”, 53.4% ​​of respondents answered affirmatively. . One third of respondents are against (32.3%), and 14.2% have no opinion on this matter.
