More routes are disappearing from Poland. We won’t fly here in winter
With the upcoming autumn-winter season, airlines are organizing their flight networks. Ryanair has cut further routes from Polish airports.
The peak travel season always falls on the holiday months. This is when you can count on a rich network of connections to warm places and more frequent flights. As carriers notice a decline in interest in trips in winter, selected connections are deleted. Of course, this does not mean that there is suddenly nothing to choose from, because city breaks are still king, but there are slightly fewer options. This is what Ryanair announced.
Ryanair cancels connections from Poland
The Irish low-cost carrier will suspend flights from Krakow and Wrocław to Sofia, as well as from Gdańsk to Newcastle. This is another similar decision made in relation to well-known routes offered at Polish airports. Previously, the following connections were canceled: Gdańsk-Skelleftea, Szczecin-Dublin, Łódź-Bergamo and Gdańsk-Wrocław.
Moreover, a few days ago the end of flights to Amman in Jordan from Krakow and Poznań was announced. In total, Ryanair has suspended at least 9 routes temporarily or permanently in recent days. In most cases, they will have to be forgotten by the end of January 2027.
As for the further suspended connections from Krakow, Wrocław or Gdańsk, these will be unavailable from January 4 to February 1 – in the case of flights to Sofia and from January 3 to February 5 – in the case of Newcastle.
The connections can only be expected to return in spring. Then Ryanair may also surprise you with completely new products. Currently, the cuts are due to weaker demand and high oil prices; mainly concern flights in November 2026 and January 2027.
This airport is lucky
Poles flying out of the Warsaw-Chopin airport will lose the least. At the moment, this is the only airport in our country from which Ryanair does not take any flights for the winter. The only routes that were announced as seasonal from the beginning will be suspended.
Due to these changes, at the end of October we will lose flights to Vienna, Palma de Mallorca or Manchester. In the case of the latter, the good news is that we will find a replacement in Modlin.
