The incident at the amusement park was widely reported in foreign media. A recording of it went viral. It shows young people hanging in the air. Trapped, they were waiting for help.
Amusement parks offer many experiences, but sometimes they provide too much. A group of people spending time at Sea World in Australia found themselves in an unusual situation. The machine they were riding suddenly stopped. Everyone was suspended above the ground for an hour and a half.
Failure in amusement park
The failure occurred last Tuesday, August 27. The Sea World park is located near the city of Brisbane and is sought after not only by residents of the area. The huge pendulum called Vortex failed. Normally, it lifts visitors to a height of 15 meters and then lowers them down, they are strapped into chairs and sit next to each other. This time, they did not go down as quickly as they should have. One of the sensors turned out to be faulty.
13 people were stuck on a pendulum suspended from the top and had to wait like that for a while. Water was delivered to tourists by a special lift. Help arrived in time, but one had to be patient. It is known that no one was physically harmed.

The footage of the incident has gone viral. It can be seen on YouTube on the channel “The Project.” The footage shows that the victims are behaving quite calmly – they are swinging their legs and looking down. Everyone is patiently waiting to be rescued.
This is not the first time an incident of this type has occurred in an amusement park. Users of some attractions in other places have had it even worse. Sometimes, a group of people were left hanging on a roller coaster suspended upside down for several hours. In the most tragic cases, it ended with injuries or even death.
A few days ago, there was also a lot of noise about the situation in Władysławowo. There, during a ride on one of the carousels, a tourist was injured in the legs. A visit to the hospital was not avoided. The police investigated the cause of the incident.
