The plane of a well-known airline with a long history was to ensure that travelers reached their destination safely. It was a close call and it would have ended in disaster.
The tragic event took place on Tuesday, September 15, during a Boeing 737 flight of the Iranian Sepehran Airlines to Kermanshah. Shortly after taking off from Mashhad, the crew had to immediately abort the flight and return to the airport. There was panic on board as parts of the machine began to fall apart.
The plane fell apart during the flight
Although the description of the situation sounds like a scene from a movie, it really happened, and its effects can be seen, among others: on recordings published online. Passengers got up from their seats, trying to stop parts of the luggage compartments and other elements of the machine from falling on them. Screams and disturbing sounds resulting from the failure could be heard in the background.
During this time, the pilot tried to return safely to Mashhad for an emergency landing. According to Gulf News, during this time she managed to get off the plane, among others: the tire fell off and the engine also failed. Strong shocks were felt, making it difficult to steer and sit still.
What happened at Sepehran Airlines?
Ultimately, the Sepehran Airlines plane landed safely at the airport in Mashhad, and none of the passengers suffered serious injuries. It is certain that they will remember this flight for a long time. They arrived at their destination with the plane’s ceiling damaged and parts of the luggage compartments lying everywhere. Some personal items belonging to the travelers also fell to the ground.
The main reason for the situation was engine problems, of which the pilot immediately informed the passengers. According to reports from foreign sources, this is the second time that Iran has noticed a problem in Mashhad. At this moment, there has been no official statement from the carrier on this matter.
Sepehran Airlines has been operating for over 10 years, since July 2016. They are also known as flysepehran, and are based in Mashhad. They mainly serve domestic connections, but also to Western Asia and the Middle East.
