Minimum wage 2026: That’s what you’ll get “on hand”
In 2026, the minimum wage is to amount to PLN 4,806 gross. Check how much money will go to employees after deductions.
The minimum wage in Poland is expected to increase from 2026. The current amount is PLN 4,666 gross, and according to the government proposal from January 2026, the lowest national is to be PLN 4,806 gross. This means an increase of PLN 140 gross, i.e. about 3 percent compared to the current level.
New rates
On July 11, a meeting of the Social Dialogue Council took place, during which new minimum wage rates and the minimum hourly rate that would apply in 2026 were discussed. The agreement did not take place. Trade unions demand a much greater increase – in their opinion, the lowest salary should amount to at least PLN 5015 gross. In turn, representatives of employers are more cautious and believe that growth should not exceed PLN 50.
The government also proposed an increase in the minimum hourly rate. Currently, it amounts to PLN 30.50 gross, and in 2026 it would increase to PLN 31.40 gross, which means a 90 grosze increase. Such a rate applies to civil law contracts, including order contracts and for the provision of services.
How much will the minimum salary be?
Many employees are wondering how much they will realize their salary after deducting the mandatory contributions. According to the calculations presented by “DGP”, a full -time person employed, earning a minimum wage of PLN 4,806 gross, will receive a net of around PLN 3605.85. This amount includes all mandatory deductions: the pension contribution, disability, disease, health and income tax advance.
Compared to the current amount of the lowest net salary, which is PLN 3,510.92, this means an increase of PLN 94.93 per month. Although the change is not large, for people receiving a minimum salary it can have a noticeable importance in the home budget.
