“Mini Dubai” in Poland will soon open its doors. One step left

Hotel Gołębiewski w Pobierowie

It is to be the largest hotel in Poland. Hotel Gołębiewski is one step closer to opening and is looking for many people to work. The owners still need to complete the formalities.

Few hotel investments arouse such extreme emotions. The new Gołębiewski Hotel in Pobierowo on the Baltic Sea already sparked a protest from local residents in 2019, when almost 1,500 trees had to be cut down for construction. The investor agreed to plant new trees near the facility. There will be 1,200 rooms inside, which will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 guests. The gigantic scale of the investment caused the facility to be called “little Dubai” in the German media. Others associate it with a huge cruise ship.

Hotel in Pobierowo. When will he receive guests?

The five-star hotel is getting closer to opening. The portal Architektura.muratorplus.pl learned that there are still formalities remaining. “The facility already has an environmental decision, but it does not have an occupancy permit. The inspections have started, firefighters and then the Sanitary Inspectorate have entered the facility. The facility must also obtain an appropriate decision from the Maritime Office,” Janusz Zaryczański, district construction supervision inspector in Gryfice, told the portal. A replacement project for the investment is also needed. Only after completing these procedures will the owner be able to apply to the District Construction Supervision Inspector for a decision on the use of the facility.

Currently, you can find over 10 job offers on the network’s website. They are looking for, among others: waiters, confectioners, bakers, bartenders, kitchen help and kitchen shift manager. The owners place great emphasis on gastronomy, which “will play a key role in building the experience and quality of stay” in this place.

There are also current job advertisements for a security guard, laundry worker and floor service inspector. Hotel accommodation is available for the person employed in the last position, in the case of applicants from outside the region. The advertisements did not provide salary ranges.

A gigantic hotel on the Baltic Sea. Fear of the competition

The German media wrote about the investment. The hotel in Pobierowo is located only 60 km from the German resort of Ahlbeck and has attracted the attention of competitors. Lars Schwarz, head of the regional Hotel und Gaststättenverband in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, noted that the opening of the facility may affect tourist traffic on both sides of the border. Despite this, he remained optimistic and expressed hope that Mecklenburg-Vorpommern would be able to set another record in 2026. Earlier, the German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung called the project “absurd and megalomaniacal”.
