Millions of Poles covered by a new duty. The deadline is over

Koniec papierowej korespondencji? Obowiązek korzystania z e-Doręczeń rozszerzony na kolejne firmy

From July 1, entrepreneurs from CEIDG must have an e-mailbox if they want to change the company’s data. Millions of Poles include a new obligation.

On July 1, 2025, new regulations entered into force that introduce an additional obligation for many company owners in Poland. The Ministry of Digitization reminds that every entrepreneur registered in CEIDG before January 1, 2025, who will want to make any change in the entry, must have an e-mailbox.

E-mailbox

The new regulations mean that it will not be possible to update your business data without indicating the address for e-mails. This obligation applies to, among others changes in the address of conducting business, contact details, extension of PKD codes or suspension or resumption of business. The application can be submitted during changes to CEIDG – the process is to be simple and fast.

As noted by Anna Durmaj, deputy director of the Digital Channel Department at the Central Information Technology Center, a new stage of implementing the e-mail system has begun. From July 2025, having a box is a prerequisite for each data update in CEIDG. This is important information for all entrepreneurs planning to change activities.

Instead of a registered letter

E-arranges are the electronic equivalent of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. Thanks to this, offices and institutions can provide writing by digital, which is to speed up communication, increase security and limit formalities. The service enables the receipt of official documents in electronic form, with full confirmation of delivery.

The Ministry of Digitization ensures that so far about 1.4 million boxes for e-mails have been registered. The new duty will certainly contribute to the further increase in this number. The ministry points out that the digital box can be founded free of charge, and its assumption is possible both via the Internet and with the help of a representative.

The new regulations are to improve the operation of public administration and reduce the amount of paper correspondence. In practice, this means that any change in the CEIDG entry will require contact through the e-mail system-regardless of the scale of changes.
