Mid-range smartphone – worth hunting for bargains

Users expect smartphones to have technical parameters that guarantee high performance, and telecom operators selling these devices expect attractive and cost-effective offers, preferably with a large number of gigabytes. And since excellent performance cannot be reconciled with a low subscription fee, a compromise solution is definitely easier – and more cost-effective -: a mid-range smartphone paired with a promotional subscription, for example “3 in 1”.

The richness of the mobile offer of manufacturers makes it increasingly difficult to find your way in the thicket of models, sometimes differing at first glance in inconspicuous details. And the choice is huge: from the simplest, basic models, which can be successfully purchased even for a child, to advanced, excellently equipped and made “flagships” at the price of several average national salaries.

The reality of the smartphone market is that mid-range devices are more than sufficient for most everyday applications. Even if they do not offer the highest possible computing or graphics processing performance, market competition forces manufacturers to put better and better components on board their products without raising prices.

Such solid options in the mid-range smartphone segment include the Infinix Note 40 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A25 5G, and Motorola Moto G34 5G.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 12/256GB – powerful camera

The Infinix Note 40 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2436 x 1080 pixels, which provides a clear and vivid image, ideal for watching multimedia and playing games. The refresh rate of 120 Hz makes using the device smooth and enjoyable. The heart of the smartphone is the eight-core MediaTek Helio G99 MT6789 processor, supported by 12 GB of RAM. This configuration guarantees smooth operation of applications. Internal memory with a capacity of up to 256 GB is a satisfactory amount of space for storing photos, videos and other files.

The Note 40 Pro stands out with its powerful camera. The main camera with a resolution of 108 megapixels is supported by two additional 2 MP cameras, which allows you to take detailed and clear photos. The front camera with a resolution of 32 MP with an f/2.2 aperture is perfect for selfies and video calls. The Infinix Note 40 Pro supports video recording in 2K quality. It is worth noting that the smartphone set also includes practical accessories, such as an inductive charger, a case, a USB-C cable, headphones and a glass screen protector.

Samsung Galaxy A25 5G 6/128GB – Super AMOLED on the front

The Samsung Galaxy A25 5G has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). Like the Note 40 Pro, the display works at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device also uses an octa-core processor – which is already standard in this class of equipment – except that it is the Samsung Exynos 1280 chip, supported by 6 GB of RAM. The internal memory of 128 GB, expandable with a microSD card up to 1 TB, offers plenty of space for photos, videos, and other files.

The Galaxy A25 5G also stands out with its advanced photographic system, although its resolution is not as impressive as in the Infinix brand’s proposal. The main 50 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, however, provides clear and detailed photos even in low light. It is accompanied by an 8 MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and a 2 MP macro camera (f/2.4), which allows for close-up photography. On the front, there is a 13 MP camera (f/2.2), ideal for selfies and video calls. The ability to record video additionally increases the versatility of the device.

motorola moto g34 5G 4/128GB – good quality at a low price

The Motorola Moto G34 5G also has a 6.5-inch display, but this time it’s made using IPS LCD technology and offers a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Although this may seem a bit too small compared to the aforementioned competitors, the screen is characterized by good image quality and vivid colors – especially since the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures appropriate responsiveness. Here too, there’s an octa-core processor, this time the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 2.2 GHz. 4 GB of RAM is enough for efficient operation in both everyday use and more demanding tasks, such as mobile games. The device offers 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card up to 1 TB.

moto g34 5G is equipped with three cameras: a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 16 MP front camera. The main camera offers good photo quality, especially in good lighting conditions. The macro camera allows you to capture small details up close, although its resolution could be higher. The front camera works great for video calls and selfies, offering good image quality.

The common feature of the devices mentioned is a 5000 mAh battery – a cell of this capacity ensures long-term use without the need for frequent charging. – respectively: Infinix – 70W, Samsung – 25W, Motorola – 18W. In addition, the smartphones support fast charging technology. When it comes to the operating system, all of the devices run Android version 14.

Above all, however, all three models are devices with a high price-quality ratio, which can be purchased by a family of three with one subscription.
