TAURON Polish Cup: Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie Trophy in Krakow
The 2023/24 season was very successful for Jurassic knights. In addition to success in the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Zawiercie also won the Polish runner -up. In the PlusLiga final, Jastrzębski Węgiel (currently functioning with the prefix JSW) turned out to be better. The silver album is the most valuable MP medal in the achievements of the team led by coach Michał Winiarski.
In addition, the Jurassic knights added a victory in the match about Al-Ko the Polish Super Cup. They are also the newly baked semi -finalists of the Champions League. The form of the club from Zawiercie in “Wprost” was appreciated by Ireneusz Kłos, a former Polish representative.
– Maybe I will surprise some, but the Polish champion will be Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. I am like that. Michał Winiarski created a very interesting team and interesting how this team will manage both in the league, but also in the upcoming Polish Cup tournament and the best four in the Champions League. It promises to be a lot of interesting playing – said “Dzidek”, announcing a really successful end of the season for the wine team.
Will it actually be? The first exam is already on Saturday (i.e. April 12), late afternoon. The rival in the semi -final of the tournament in Krakow will be for the defenders of the title PGE Projekt Warszawa. A high -end opponent, looking at the league hierarchy. However, it seems that the Zawiercie team will be the favorite in the match near Wawel.
– They are definitely stronger. Just as we are stronger, in my opinion. I think that when the team can keep the same players for a longer period than one season, they always reach a higher volleyball level. When you add some good transfers to key players. I think they will definitely be a stronger opponent than they were last season. And a year ago we had a fierce match, despite the 3: 0 result. It has always been hard, so I do not expect anything less – said the playmaker of the title, Miguel Tavares, in an interview for the official website of Aluron CMC Warta.
