Mentzen puts more and more pressure on Kaczyński. He uploaded a new recording

Sławomir Mentzen i Jarosław Kaczyński

Sławomir Mentzen published a satirical spot generated by artificial intelligence. In the recording, he attacks Jarosław Kaczyński and the PiS project regarding cryptocurrencies.

Sławomir Mentzen published a recording created using artificial intelligence on social media. The leader of New Hope and one of the main politicians of the Confederation used the film to criticize the PiS proposal regarding restrictions related to the crypto-asset market.

Mentzen’s recording appeared shortly after the draft amendment to the Act on Counteracting Unfair Market Practices was submitted to the Parliament. Mentzen added a short comment to the publication: “Ban cryptocurrencies, the Internet, contactless payments, AI and all these computers!”

“Artificial Kaczyński” is the hero of Mentzen’s recording

The action of the spot takes place at Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw, referred to by the narrator as the “PiS Supreme Command”. The main character is a computer-generated politician resembling Jarosław Kaczyński.

In the following scenes, the hero uses a laptop, contactless payment and a self-service checkout. Every situation ends with a similar reaction – if he doesn’t understand something, “it should be banned.”

In the finale, the “artificial Kaczyński” is accosted by an English-speaking passer-by. After a while, another slogan is heard: “What is he saying? It should be banned.”

PiS’s project on cryptocurrencies has sparked controversy

The proposal regarding activities related to cryptoassets sparked a discussion not only among PiS opponents, but also within the party itself. According to media reports, the project was to be initiated by Jarosław Kaczyński, which was to surprise some party politicians.

Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, among others, was critical of the idea. Confederation politicians also spoke. Marcin Możdżonek accused PiS of lack of consistency in its approach to the cryptocurrency market and recalled that the group had previously criticized the government for too restrictive regulations.
