Masurian Paradise: Childhood tastes the best here. How a hotel in the heart of the forest became a land of legends for the youngest
When we think about a perfect holiday in Masuria, we think of silence, a lake and peace. But what if we are traveling with children? At the four-star Hotel Mazurski Raj in Ruciane-Nida, they prove that a luxurious holiday for adults can go hand in hand with a fascinating adventure for the youngest. Here, animations do not end with the holidays, and each playroom tells a different local story.
Masuria is not only about sails and kayaks. It is a land filled with magic, the echoes of which can be heard in the rustle of the hundred-year-old pines surrounding the six hectares of the area belonging to the Mazurski Raj Hotel. It is here that nature becomes a playground, and modern hotel infrastructure allows parents to have a moment of respite while their children discover the world with all their senses.
Education through the senses: Kłobuk’s Land
The heart of the children’s universe in the hotel is the “Kłobuk Land”. This is not an ordinary “monkey grove” like many in urban entertainment centers. It is a playroom designed in the spirit of sensory and regional education. Children, running among safe structures, come across holograms of characters from Masurian legends and an educational path that teaches them to recognize the flora and fauna of local forests.
The name is not accidental – in the beliefs of ancient Masuria, Kłobuk is the guardian spirit of the home. In Masurian Paradise, this spirit takes care of creativity. For little explorers, there is a laboratory where they can conduct their first experiments, as well as a mini kitchen, where they create their own baked goods during culinary workshops under the supervision of chefs.
365 days of adventure: The season here lasts all year round
The hotel’s greatest distinguishing feature is its approach to animation. In most facilities, class schedules appear only during the peak season. Masurian Paradise breaks away from this pattern.
– We assumed that children need stimulation and fun regardless of the calendar – says Dorota Durczak, Sales and Marketing Director of the Mazurski Raj Hotel.
– Our animations last 365 days a year. It doesn’t matter whether you visit us on a Tuesday in November or on May Day. A team of professional animators is always waiting with a program adapted to the current weather and age of the guests.
The program is precisely divided into age groups. Little ones enjoy manual activities, coloring books and a paddling pool with mini slides in the pool area. Older children and teenagers have access to a modern Game Room. It is a real command center with bowling, billiards, darts and advanced game simulators that allow for healthy, sports competition.

Your offer includes the mysterious “Pofajdoki”. What are these characters?
This is another nod to our roots. According to Masurian legends, Pofajdoki are mischievous but extremely obliging young men who always went their own way. Our children are like that – curious and independent. We have created a dedicated “Pofajdoki” menu for them in the Zaklęty Gaj Lobby. These are dishes that are not only healthy, but also visually attractive, which is crucial for little picky eaters. What’s more, our menu takes the form of an interactive coloring book. Thanks to this, children can engage in creative play while waiting for a meal, and parents can gain a moment of peace and enjoy time together.
The hotel has a huge area. How do you use it when working with children?
Our 6 hectares are a natural extension of the playground. We have an outdoor “Mini fishing village”, numerous walking paths and our own beach. But that’s not all. Just 20 minutes from the hotel there is a reserve of Polish horses – Tarpanów, which is a must-see on every trip. For technology fans, we also have a spherical cinema with 3D films, which allows you to travel to other dimensions without leaving the hotel.
Can we talk about a “SPA for children” in a place like Masurian Paradise?
Of course! Wellbeing has no age barrier. We offer special SPA treatments for children that teach them how to take care of themselves and make them feel like “adults” in a safe, relaxing way. It’s a great way to calm down after a day full of excitement on quads, buggies or SUPs, which we also offer for older youth.
A space that connects generations
Masurian Paradise proves that the key to success in family tourism is diversity. From safe cots and highchairs in the restaurant, through children’s buffets with ice cream, to advanced creative workshops – every detail is thought out here. This is a place where a business approach to quality meets a genuine passion for creating memories. Because, as the guests of the facility say: from the Masurian Paradise you take not only photos, but above all stories about Kłobuk and the smell of the pine forest, which stays in your memory for years.
