Marcin Janusz shaved, gold for Cancer Fighters. The volleyball players did not disappoint

In recent days, there has been no more important event on the Polish Internet than the Łaganga stream for the Cancer Fighters Foundation. There was plenty of support from the volleyball players.

Why specifically about volleyball players? It would be difficult to gather in one place all those from the world of sports who joined in this beautiful action. It really was a real response from hundreds of thousands of hearts, and maybe even more, since the total amount collected can be counted in millions.

And the counter reached over PLN 250 million collected for the Cancer Fighters Foundation.

Let us remind you that YouTuber Łagang declared that he would listen to the song “I’m Still Here (Diss for Cancer)” for nine days during a live stream via his very popular YT channel.

The Cancer Fighters Foundation with Bedoes 2115 and Maja Mecan created a unique piece of music that became a response to the disease. In this particular case, we are talking about cancer.

We informed in WPROST about support from, among others, Robert Lewandowski (and Anna and the subsequent payment of one million zlotys), Mateusz Ponitka and Marcin Gortat reconciled. Finally, Wojciech Szczęsny and his declaration, among others, involvement of Lamine Yamala, the star of FC Barcelona, in the entire action – with a symbolic video.

The goalkeeper of the Spanish champions fulfilled this goal in his own style.

There were also famous volleyball players joining the action. Just after the final match of PlusLiga, Polish champions Bogdanka LUK Lublin – Wilfredo Leon and Marcin Komenda – supported the action. Interestingly, during the gold medal match held in Zawiercie, the hosts – Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie – showed… the Łaganga stream on the large screens in the hall.

The action was also supported by Marcin Janusz (accompanied by Wiktor Nowak, also the playmaker of Asseco Resovia Rzeszów) and Damian Wojtaszek (captain of PGE Projekt Warszawa), who were not playing at that time but were observing the whole thing. Former Polish representatives showed on social media how they quickly changed their hairstyles.

Additionally, we strongly encourage you to support aid campaigns.

Kamil Semeniuk decided to donate his VNL gold medal won with the Polish national team in 2025 to auction. It is also quite a gesture considering the importance of the achievement achieved by coach Nikola Grbic’s team.

The medal was ultimately auctioned for over PLN 16,000.

Tomasz Fornal announced that he will present a special hairstyle during this year’s European Championships, reminding us to support the Cancer Fighters Foundation not only within a few days, but even after some time (the tournament will be held on September 9-26). On the sides of his hairstyle, the volleyball player will dye the abbreviation of the slogan “JR” referring to the fight against cancer.

Dawid Konarski, also a former Polish representative, donated an autographed Cristiano Ronaldo shirt to auction. It so happens that the volleyball player has been performing in more exotic areas of the volleyball world for several years. And it was while traveling around the world that he acquired such a special souvenir, which he donated to auction. The T-shirt was auctioned for well over PLN 10,000, and Konarski also… shaved his head.

What exactly does the Cancer Fighters Foundation do? Let’s give the floor to the creators themselves and the description available on the official website.

Cancer Fighters is a foundation for people suffering from cancer. We help children, teenagers and adults from all over Poland. We also take care of our patients’ relatives – because cancer is a disease that affects entire families. We give strength to act and show that a diagnosis is not a verdict, but an impulse to take up a fight that does not have to be fought alone. Team Cancer Fighters is not only the foundation’s employees and volunteers. These are primarily patients and their loved ones who inform us about their needs, partners and friends of the Foundation who, through their commitment, enable patients to recover. Together, we join forces so that everyone who hears a difficult diagnosis knows that they can count on real support.
