Radosław Piesiewicz is a name that has been dominating the media in recent days. Marcin Gortat, who has been in great conflict with him for years, has attacked the president of the Polish Olympic Committee.
To say that Radosław Piesiewicz and Marcin Gortat don’t like each other is like saying nothing. The best Polish player in NBA history has been a staunch critic of the head of the Polish Olympic Committee for years, although their conflict concerned cooperation in Polish basketball. Piesiewicz has also ruled the Polish Basketball Association for years.

In recent days, the president of the Polish Olympic Committee has found himself in the crosshairs of fans and the Minister of Sport. Sławomir Nitras announced an audit of public spending on sport after the disappointing result at the Olympic Games. Piesiewicz, in turn, accused him of incompetence after being criticized. He himself now has to deal with another scandal related to the use of VIP check-in at Chopin Airport with his family. The commissioner was the committee.
On this occasion, Gortat was called to the board. Fans massively tagged him under publications concerning Piesiewicz. The “Polish hammer” shared some of them with a comment. “Skoda gadać … a person who should immediately be removed from Podolian sport for life!” – wrote the former Polish representative. When one of the internet users suggested that Piesiewicz was a meme, Gortat added: “I think more than a meme”.
Radosław Piesiewicz’s conflicts with basketball players
Marcin Gortat is not the only representative of the basketball community who does not get along with the current president of PZKosz and PKOl. Years ago, Radosław Piesiewcz came into conflict with the former captain of the basketball team, Adam Waczyński. Maciej Lampe also does not have a good opinion of him, but unlike the former player of the New York Knicks or FC Barcelona, the current head of the Olympic committee does not want to return to old events after all these years.
