Maja Chwalińska revealed the truth. Yes, the Polish woman benefits from significant support
Maja Chwalińska became the talk of fans after her success at Roland Garros 2026. The Polish tennis player does not hide the fact that she works with psychologist Alicja Nowicka.
Saturday’s (i.e. June 6) final of the women’s singles did not go as Maja Chwalińska expected. The Pole did what she could, fought for every ball, but that day Mirra Andreeva was simply better. However, reaching the final of a Grand Slam tournament is a huge achievement for the Polish player, who just a few weeks ago was almost anonymous to most sports fans.
Alicja Nowicka helps the Roland Garros 2026 finalist. Important words about the psychologist
It is clear that the Polish tennis player can count on the support of important, proven people from her surroundings. In addition to the typical tennis, sports and organizational aspects, Chwalińska admitted that she uses the services of a psychologist. The Roland Garros 2026 finalist cooperates with Alicja Nowicka.
– We don’t see each other every day because she is from Warsaw. We mainly talk on the phone (…) It’s a collaboration in which I have a lot of freedom. If I need something, I speak up. Ala is an understanding person (…) She is just there for me and doesn’t bother me. She simply gives me freedom and if I need it, if I need her advice, I speak up, then we work and talk about various things. But nothing is forced, which I think is also very important – admitted Chwalińska, quoted by Eurosport.
Let us add that Nowicka is known in the sports community. The psychologist supported, among others: Polish Olympians in the context of this year’s games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Maja Chwalińska wrote a beautiful story. Debutante final in Paris!
A story written by Maja Chwalińska from mid-May to the end of the first week of June on the tennis courts. Roland Garros is an extraordinary story. The Polish tennis player went through three-stage qualifications to officially make her debut in the main draw of the Grand Slam tournament in the French capital.
It turned out that Chwalińska followed suit. After defeating three rivals in the qualifications (two representatives of the hosts: Alice Rame and Carole Monnet, and the Dutch Suzan Lamens), the 24-year-old tennis player won… six consecutive matches in Paris! In the defeated field, the player who usually plays for the BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała club left behind: the Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the Belgian Elise Martens, the Greek Maria Sakkari, the French Diane Parry and two tennis players from Russia – Anna Kalinska and Diana Sznajder. Mirra Andreeva turned out to be too strong in the final of Roland Garros 2026.
However, the result achieved by the Pole is a huge success. Chwalińska added as many as 1,303 points to her WTA ranking. This allowed the Pole to advance from 114th to 21st place in the world. Thus, she became the second best tennis player in the country, right after her friend Iga Świątek (number 3 in the ranking).
