Maja Chwalińska made the whole of Poland fall in love with her. When is the final in Paris?

On Thursday (June 4), late afternoon, Maja Chwalińska secured her promotion to the Roland Garros final. The tennis player, who came to Paris as player number 114 in the WTA ranking, enchanted the courts in the French capital. In the semi-final battle, she defeated Diana Sznajder in two sets.

And another tennis player from Russia is waiting for the final – Mirra Andreeva.

Roland Garros 2026: Where and when to watch the final with Maja Chwalińska?

The Pole has come a very long way to play for the championship title on the courts. Roland Garros. Chwalińska is the first tennis player in the so-called Era Open, which achieved such a feat in Paris, starting the competition from the first round of qualifications. On the way to the grand final, the 24-year-old Pole had to play a total of nine matches.

Chwalińska played the first one on May 18, the last one will take place on June 6.

In the final, the Pole’s opponent will be the aforementioned Mirra Andreeva. The tennis player, who is only 19 years old, is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest, talents in world tennis in recent years. The Russian will play in her first Grand Slam final of her career on Saturday, just like Chwalińska. However, Andreeva is already a player at the top of the WTA rankings.

Suffice it to say that we are talking about the world number 8. In her short career, the Russian has already managed, among others, play in the semi-finals of Roland Garros in 2024. And in the semi-final match, Andreeva defeated Marta Kostyuk, giving the Ukrainian no greater chance of reaching the Grand Slam final. It was a show of great strength from the young tennis player.
