The Polish national team will be composed of: Magda Linette (30. Two of the highest placed Polish tennis players will not present themselves in the team. The runner -up of the WTA Iga Świątek ranking a few days ago informed about her absence in the Billie Jean King Cup 2025 elimination tournament in Radom. The injury excluded Magdalena Fręch (28 WTA), so the composition of the Polish national team will not be fully optimal.

Linette will be the most experienced player in the composition of Polish women. The Polish woman has successful weeks behind her, and her cooperation with the former vice -leader of the WTA ranking, Wimbledon finalist – Agnieszka Radwańska – brings very good results.

Poznanianka took the floor regarding the absence of the Polish national team. The 23 -year -old tennis player explained through social media, reasons for the lack of appearance in the tournament in Radom.

– Let’s not hide, Iga is the best player in the world. Now it is the second, but on the flour, when he goes out to the court, she is a favorite. It’s always weakness, but you have to respect the decision. We try to focus on what we have control on. This is Iga’s individual decision, I don’t want to judge her. We do not know what is happening in the team, in what condition her body is, how tired she is emotionally tired. I do not judge, I understand fatigue and the fact that sometimes you have to take breath, and in our season there is little time for it – said Linette, hosting the radio for you in the “Sports Magazine” (quote for TVP Sport).

Certainly, the lack of Christmas or fringes can be considered a considerable disappointment for Polish fans. The Polish team returns to the game in its area after over three years break. Therefore, there is a rare opportunity to see the tennis representation live, and in addition – on Polish soil.

Billie Jean King Cup 2025. When will Polish women play in Radom?

The elimination tournament will last from Thursday to Saturday, i.e. on April 10-12. The place of the struggle will be the Radom Sports Center. Polish women will play on Thursday and Friday. At the beginning of Thursday’s competition with the Swiss (from 15:00).

A day later, at the same time (i.e. Friday, 15:00), they will play with Ukrainians. Interestingly, in the ranks of Switzerland there will be no highest set from this nation in the global ranking of Belinda Bencic (42. WTA). Ukrainian people who will come to Radom will come to Radom with both Elina Switolina (18. WTA) and Marta Kostjuk (25. WTA).

The last match of the tournament will be the Saturday start of Swiss with Ukrainians. Only the winners of the competition in Radom will advance to the BJKC 2025 final.
