Low battery on your phone? These simple tricks will extend its working time

Virtually all of us charge our smartphone every day. This often happens because we have various functions turned on that we do not use at all.

Many of us still remember the times when we could charge our mobile phones once or twice a week. Old cell phones had solid, large batteries and small screens. The situation changed when smartphones entered the market en masse. Today, daily charging is the norm.

Phone battery. Screen brightness

This is one of the main factors why the battery drains quickly. The higher the display brightness, the higher the power consumption. It is worth reducing it or setting the dark mode. Then we will save both the battery and our eyes.

Applications. Many of them you don’t use

It happens that we have dozens of applications installed on our smartphone, although we do not use many of them at all. It is worth doing a review from time to time and uninstalling unnecessary ones. If they run in the background, they consume energy, i.e. our battery. You can also limit the operation of the application in the background in the phone settings.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is often necessary because this is how we connect headphones, speakers, smartwatches, printers or audio devices in the car to our smartphone. However, it should be noted that having the Bluetooth option constantly on also contributes to a decrease in battery life.

Phone battery. Turn on saving

Not everyone knows that modern smartphones have an energy-saving function. Enabling this option often results in reducing the number of notifications, dimming the screen and limiting the number of applications running in the background. Some phones also reduce processor performance, which may slow down the device but significantly saves energy.

What else influences faster battery consumption?

  • Frequently fully draining the battery to zero (instead of recharging it when the level drops to 20-30%).

  • Using your phone at very high temperatures or leaving it in direct sunlight.

  • Charging the battery to 100 percent. too often – for long-term battery life it is better to keep it between 20-80%.
