Lotto pays much more! Higher prizes are financed by the players themselves
August 18, 2026, after the evening draw taking place after 22:10, the guaranteed pool for first-degree Lotto winnings increased from PLN 2 million to PLN 3 million, i.e. by 50%.
According to Totalizator Sportowy’s data, half of Poles play Lotto. Number games and cash lotteries can only be played by persons over 18 years of age.
Money lost its value significantly. The amount of PLN 2 million currently allows you to purchase one larger apartment in a large city (e.g. Warsaw) or 2-3 smaller apartments in smaller cities. However, it is not possible to secure such a Lotto win for your entire life, hence the need for changes.
Lotto revolution. Bigger winnings, more expensive bets
Totalizator Sportowy rarely decides to change, because Poles rarely change their needs to satisfy winning the Lotto. Most often, they spend it on improving their standard of living: purchasing or renovating real estate, a new car, repaying debts and supporting the family.
Only a small percentage of winning people declare spending on luxury goods (expensive alcohol, exotic holidays or extravagant parties or shopping). It turns out that most of the winners focus on reasonable and moderate expenses instead of luxury. But they also cost more and more.
In 2026, Totalizator Sportowy decided to simultaneously increase winnings and change the price of a single bet. In this way, the revolution will finance itself.
More for three correct numbers. The rest of Totalizator’s games remain unchanged
The guaranteed jackpot prize increased from PLN 2 million to PLN 3 million. Emotions also rose – the method of dividing the prize pool changed. Most of the funds went to the highest winning tiers, so the jackpots are expected to accumulate faster.
The guaranteed winnings for matching three numbers increased from PLN 24 to PLN 35. The share of first-degree winnings in the entire pool allocated for withdrawals increased from 44 to 49 percent. The amount of payouts for matching four and five numbers will still depend on, among others: on the number of winning bets and the pool allocated for winnings in a given draw.
The price of a single Lotto bet increased from PLN 3 to PLN 5. However, the fee for participating in Lotto Plus remained unchanged. An additional game will still cost PLN 1.
