This new product from Apple will appeal to all tourists. Luggage flying to another country will no longer be a problem.

Losing luggage while on vacation sounds like every tourist’s worst nightmare. However, arriving in your dream country without your favorite clothes, cosmetics or electronic equipment happens to many people. Airlines are not always able to help quickly with our problem – we often receive our luggage only after returning home from vacation. Thanks to the new service from Apple, we can notify the airline about the fate of our suitcase much faster than before.

Air Tag from Apple with a new feature

The popular AirTag locators, thanks to which Apple smartphone users can track the location of their suitcase, will now be even more useful. The Find My application supporting them will be enriched with a new function, under which passengers will be able to share the location of their luggage directly with the interested airlines. “As indicated in Apple’s November 11 press release, the new service will be integrated with airline customer service for 15 carriers, including Delta and United,” reads the CNN article. “We know many of our customers already travel with AirTag in their checked bags, and this feature will soon make it easier for them to share location information with us securely, helping our customer service agents work more efficiently and providing our customers with greater peace of mind,” said David Kinzelman, director Customer Service Officer at United.

Premiere in 2025

The service is scheduled to be premiered in early 2025 with an update to the latest version of iOS. Then we will learn more details about how it works. For now, users from all over the world can test it in the BETA version. In addition to the American carriers mentioned above, airlines planning to implement it include: Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Iberia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines. Therefore, Poles using air connections in Europe will also be able to meet her.
