Lidl with a record result of exports. Polish products hit in Europe

Lidl Polska exports Polish products to 28 markets, and the value of exports in 2024 exceeded PLN 6.8 billion. This is another record result.

In 2024, the value of exports of Polish products through Lidl Polska reached a record level of over PLN 6.8 billion. This is the result of cooperation with over 340 native suppliers, whose products – including dairy products, meat, fruits and vegetables – found 28 foreign markets. In the last seven years, the export of Polish products has already exceeded PLN 32 billion thanks to the Lidl network. The company, present in Poland for over 20 years, has been cooperating with over 850 domestic suppliers on a daily basis and consistently promotes articles marked with a “Polish product” also abroad.

– Polish products – in particular dairy products, meat and fruits and vegetables – are characterized by high quality, which is why we are happy to promote them abroad. We are pleased that the next year was record -breaking in terms of exports – emphasizes Wojciech Grohn, a member of the board of Lidl Polska.

Lidl Polska – TOP 5 export markets

In 2024, the most important export markets were Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Hungary. Polish products enjoy recognition there not only because of quality, but also diversity – from dairy, through meat and frozen foods, to cookies, bread and fruit.

Polish dairy is Lidl’s export hit

Among the suppliers who, thanks to cooperation with Lidl Polska, send their products abroad, is the District Dairy Cooperative in Koło.

– We started deliveries to Lidl’s foreign markets in 2009. We are currently exporting our products to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. Our rural cheese is present in each of these countries, and most of the butter. In addition, we provide raspberry kefir, natural buttermilk, 20 % cream, lactose yogurt, Italian cheese and fresh milk without lactose to selected countries. We are constantly developing and working together on subsequent products, which as a result will expand the export offer. We are very pleased with cooperation with Lidl. Thanks to it, our products are available in Central and Eastern European countries, and the value of our exports is still growing. Over the years we have proved that we are a stable and reliable supplier. We think that cooperation is satisfactory for both parties – says Karolina Mikołajczyk, deputy president of the board, District Dairy Cooperative in Koło.

The taste from Polish orchards is conquered by foreign markets

Not only Polish dairy products are a Polish export hit, also native fruits are gaining more and more popularity. Polish apples, pears and blueberries eat, among others Lithuanians, Latvians and Slovaks.

– Grupa Rajpol has been cooperating with Lidl Polska for 12 years. We supply fresh fruit straight from the Grójec orchards. We supply juicy apples, sweet pears and plums, full of vitamins seasonal fruits: blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, cherries, cherries. For several years, Lidl’s customers can also disgust the non -obvious fruits from our plantations, such as mini kiwi and a wonderful Polish watermelon. Thanks to cooperation with Lidl Polska, we can export our fruits to Lidl stores in other countries, including to Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
