Less crowded than “Little Croatia”. An ideal place for bathing in Poland

Kąpielisko

Almost everyone knows Kraków Zakrzówek, but do you know that there are other bathing beats in the area? One of them already attracts tourists with beach and attractions.

The Zakrzówek swimming pool in Krakow won such a reputation that it is even called little Croatia or Polish Maldives by many. Most people began to come there after renovation. The place is modern today and offers many pools, tanning platforms and other attractions. In the summer, the disadvantage is long queues to enter and crowds in water. For this reason, some are looking for interesting alternatives in Lesser Poland. One of them is the Raby Valley.

Summer alternative for Zakrzówek

The aforementioned valley is located around the Raba River. The whole region is rich in recreational, green and tourist areas. The hit is the swimming pool in Klaij, at which we will find a sandy beach, promenade, fields or playground. Although the place is not as modern and extensive as Zakrzówek also has many to offer. Both places are about 36 km and about half an hour by car.

The Raby Valley swimming pool in Klai is free and guarded. This is not only a paradise for bathing or water sports lovers, but also bicycle riding and walks. There are also floating bridges for which Zakrzówek and climbing walls are famous. Fishing fans will find fisheries.

The Raba Valley has pros and cons

“A brilliant place, which probably few people know about”, “Revelation, we go for the second year and great place”, “a great place to actively rest. You can rent water bikes or kayak” – these are just some of the many positive opinions that can be found in Google under the name Recreation Center Raba Valley in Klai.

However, the average grade is 4.1 stars. Negative opinions mainly apply to access to the place. This one is assessed as very poor. Internet users point out that legal access to the center is only from the side of Łężkowice, and the address of the center is Kłaj. A bad impression is, among others Congress to the gravel road at the Savana restaurant, which is driven over two kilometers. “Fatal access. Dirt road. Knight and with holes.” – we read in one of the comments. Despite this, it seems that the swimming pool itself is suitable for holiday rest and looks good. This is definitely an alternative to the famous Zakrzówek, to which long queues often set up in the summer.

So how is it best to get to the Raba valley? After all, by car from the national road DK94. The inhabitants of Krakow and the surrounding area are closest to.
